Please join us in rebuilding a culture of beautiful
sacred music in the Catholic Church!
Chartres Cathedral
In times gone by, great sacrifices were made by a multitude of believers in order to build, maintain, and at times restore their places of worship. The magnificent cathedrals, abbeys, and parish churches that sprang up throughout the world from the Middle Ages through modern times are an ever present testimony to the robust faith, sacrificial love, inspiration, and extraordinary skills of those who built them.
While many of these beautiful Catholic churches still adorn our cities and countryside, the music which is heard in them today is seldom in harmony with the magnificence and splendor of their architecture and interior design. This can easily be a source of sadness if not scandal (in the sense of being a stumbling block) to those who believe in Christ, as well as to others who visit our churches in search of truth, love, spiritual depth, and integrity.
Such stark incongruity cries out for an authentic renewal of the sacred liturgical music in our cathedrals, parishes, and communities! This is the great mission and long quest to which we at the Magnificat Institute of Sacred Music are committed, and in which we have already been blessed to see so many fruits of our labors.
Just as a multitude of people from all walks of life made possible the building of the great churches and cathedrals of the past, so now it is only through the love-inspired assistance of many faithful participants that we can hope to rebuild a culture of beautiful sacred music in our Church - for the glory of God and the edification of all. Undergirding this assistance is the invaluable prayer, friendship, encouragement, and volunteer help of many people. For those who are able to give monetary gifts as well, this too is an indispensable support. We welcome and are most grateful for any of these ways in which you can join us in our vital mission!
As we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, all monetary contributions are tax-deductible.
